Surgical Mask Making Machine

A normal surgical mask is composed of three layers of nonwoven fabric. The inner layer is an ordinary nonwoven fabric that absorbs moisture, the outer layer is made of water-repellent nonwoven fabric, and the middle layer is a filter layer that made of melt-blown fabric with electrostatic electret. The melt-blown layer in the mask must have been tested for filtration efficiency, and the ear-loop must welding firmly on the non-woven fabric. A low defect rate is very important for low-cost production, so you must choose a reliable and good quality machine for a profitable mask production business.

The above video shows a mask-making machine in testing process for 3 ply surgical masks. Max. output can up to 80pcs/min with defect rate less than 5%. The machine is PLC control with electric power voltage of AC220V,50Hz (customizable). Rated power is approximately 8.5kW.

Main features of this mask-making machine

  1. Automaticly unwinding of raw materials, automatic conveying, cutting of nose bar, welding of mask edge, ultrasonic fusion, forming and cutting, and welding of ear-loop. It is a fully automatic production process and it can achieve a maximum capacity of 120,000 pieces per day in 24 hours working day with full capacity.
  2. PLC programable controlled, servo motor driven.
  3. Stable operation, low failure rate.
  4. Automatic tension control for unwinding the non-woven rolls to ensure the balance of feeding tension;
  5. Optical fiber sensor is used to detect raw materials to avoid defective products and waste;
  6. The pattern of the welding joint of the mask body can be customized, and the mask of different sizes and styles can be produced by changing the embossing mold;
  7. The machine fram is made of aluminum alloy profiles. It is robust and rust-free.

How to Make Disposable Masks?

With the development of the novel coronavirus epidemic situation, the shortage of medical protection supplies in the prevention and control in various areas of the world is still an urgent problem to solve, especially with the arrival of the counter-work tide, the pattern of epidemic prevention policies requires that production cannot be resumed without masks, and the shortage of masks is bound to for a longer period. Now that the authorities have recommended everyone in the nation to wear face masks as a precautionary measure when leaving home and entering the public sphere, you may find yourself wondering how you can get ahold of face masks. Think about it the other way, how about starting a business makes masks?

Medical masks, once simply a strip of cloth tied around the face of a doctor or nurse, are today manufactured using non-woven fabrics made from plastics like polypropylene to filter and protect. They are also available in many different styles and grades depending on the level of protection the user requires.

Common medical masks are mainly composed of three layers of non-woven fabric. The inner layer is a common non-woven fabric, which is mainly used to absorb the moisture and moisture released by the wearer. The outer layer is a waterproof non-woven fabric, which is mainly used to isolate the liquid sprayed by the patient or from rain. The filter layer in the middle is used for the polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabric treated with electret serves as a barrier against germs. The core material of medical masks is polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabric after electret treatment. This is the key to filtering the new coronavirus aerosol.

To produce such masks, you need fully automated mask-making machine in compliance with applicable quality standards such as CE or equivalent. A dust-free shop is also a must for producing medical masks. The following video shows how mask-making machines are built.
